		For those of you faced with having to re-home your dog, we know it is one of the hardest things you will have to do. For us, dogs are
		considered a part of our family. We want to help make the transition as easy as possible. When we find an adopter, we make sure that the adopter understands what they are getting so there are no surprises. We also conduct a home visit and meet all members of the family as well as having the adopter sign an adoption contract.

		If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, we want to give you the peace of mind knowing that the dog you have chosen
		will fit into your lifestyle and family. All of our dogs come from families who can no longer keep their dog, but care enough to make sure that their dog(s) go to a great home and don’t end up in a shelter. All of our rescues come with a complete medical history, are up to date (UTD) on shots and spayed/neutered (S/N). We know what kind of environment our dogs were living in prior to coming into rescue, so we know if the dogs are great with children, other dogs, etc…and if they are not. We make sure we know as much about the dog as the previous owner does, as well as temperament testing every dog so there are (hopefully) no surprises once you take the dog home! And if for any reason, at any time you cannot keep the dog you adopted, we will take the dog back. We don’t want any of the dogs we adopt out to end up in a shelter!

The goal of My 2 and a Rescue is to give owners and adopters peace of mind when faced with giving up their pets
or when adopting a dog.

		The name My 2 and a Rescue was born after having soooo many people ask me if all 3 dogs I had were mine. My response would
		consistently be "These are my 2 and this one's a rescue that's looking for a home!" So, when trying to come up with a name for the rescue it got into my head and stuck! And since my dogs are at every adoption event and home visit, they became our mascots! You can see "my girls" as you scroll below!
